Add Text to Image

Add text to JPG, PNG and WebP images locally in your browser. Position text, choose color and size, preview the result, and download without uploading.

What this tool does

NexKit Add Text to Image adds one visible plain-text label to supported JPG, PNG, and static WebP images directly in your browser. It is suited for titles, labels, short notes, and simple image captions.

This page is separate from Add Watermark to Image. It does not repeat text across the picture, does not offer tiled watermark mode, and does not market the result as theft prevention or secure protection.

How to add text

Open the Add Text to Image page, choose one or more supported images, enter plain text, then choose position, font size, color, opacity, rotation, outline, and JPEG/WebP quality. The preview updates from the first valid image before processing.

Run Add Text to create browser-encoded outputs. Successful results can be downloaded individually, and multiple successful outputs can be packaged into a ZIP file locally in the browser.

Supported formats and output

This release accepts JPEG, PNG, and static WebP images. GIF, animated WebP, SVG, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, and unknown formats are rejected.

Output keeps the source format and original browser-decoded dimensions: JPEG stays JPEG, PNG stays PNG, and WebP stays WebP where browser Canvas encoding supports it. PNG and WebP alpha is preserved where supported, while JPEG output has no alpha channel.

Privacy and local processing

Images are processed locally in your browser for this tool. NexKit does not upload selected images, generated image blobs, source filenames, or entered text to a server for this workflow.

Canvas re-encoding usually does not preserve original EXIF, GPS, or some ICC information. This is not a forensic metadata remover or metadata preservation workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Add Text to Image processes supported images locally in your browser. The selected files, generated outputs, filenames, and entered text are not uploaded to NexKit servers by this tool.

Which image formats are supported?

This MVP supports JPEG, PNG, and static WebP images. GIF, animated WebP, SVG, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, and unknown formats are rejected.

Can I add text to multiple images?

Yes. One shared text setting is applied to every selected image, and successful outputs can be downloaded one by one or together as a ZIP.

Does this preserve EXIF or GPS metadata?

No. Canvas re-encoding usually does not preserve original EXIF, GPS, or some ICC information. This tool is not a forensic metadata remover or metadata preservation workflow.

Why are animated GIF and WebP not supported?

The browser Canvas workflow draws a static image. Animated formats are rejected so the tool does not silently keep only one frame.

What happens to transparent areas in JPG output?

JPEG does not support transparency and has no alpha channel. PNG and WebP transparency is preserved where the browser supports alpha output.
