Add Watermark to Image
Add text watermarks to JPG, PNG and WebP images locally in your browser. Adjust text, opacity, color, position and rotation, then download individual files or a ZIP without uploading images.
What this tool does
NexKit Add Watermark to Image adds a text watermark to supported JPG, PNG, and static WebP images directly in your browser. The same watermark settings are applied to every selected image in the current batch.
The MVP focuses on text watermarks. You can adjust the text, HEX color, opacity, short-edge font size percentage, 9-position placement, and rotation angle from -90° to 90°.
How to add a watermark
Open the Add Watermark to Image page, choose one or more supported images, enter the watermark text, then set the color, opacity, font size, placement, and rotation. Empty watermark text is rejected before processing starts.
Run the tool to create browser-encoded outputs. Successful results can be downloaded individually, and multiple successful outputs can be packaged into a ZIP file locally in the browser.
Supported formats and output
This release accepts JPEG, PNG, and static WebP images. GIF, SVG, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, animated image workflows, and unknown formats are rejected.
Output keeps the source format where browser Canvas encoding supports it: JPEG stays JPEG, PNG stays PNG, and WebP stays WebP. PNG and WebP alpha is preserved where the source has transparency and the browser supports alpha output.
Privacy and local processing
Images are watermarked locally in your browser for this tool. NexKit does not upload selected images, generated image blobs, source filenames, or watermark text to a server for this workflow.
Canvas re-encoding usually removes original EXIF, GPS, ICC, and other metadata. This tool preserves watermarked pixels and visible orientation after browser decoding, but it is not a metadata preservation workflow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Add Watermark to Image processes supported images locally in your browser. The selected files and generated outputs are not uploaded to NexKit servers by this tool.
Which image formats are supported?
This MVP supports JPEG, PNG, and static WebP images. GIF, SVG, HEIC, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, animated formats, and unknown formats are rejected.
Can I watermark multiple images at once?
Yes. One shared text watermark configuration is applied to all selected images, and successful outputs can be downloaded one by one or together as a ZIP.
Can I choose watermark position?
Yes. The MVP supports Top Left, Top Center, Top Right, Center Left, Center, Center Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Center, and Bottom Right.
Does the output keep the original format?
Yes. JPEG stays JPEG, PNG stays PNG, and WebP stays WebP when the browser supports Canvas encoding for that format.
Is PNG transparency preserved?
Yes. Transparent PNG and WebP pixels remain transparent where the browser Canvas workflow supports alpha output.
Does this preserve EXIF metadata?
No. Canvas re-encoding usually removes original EXIF, GPS, ICC, and other metadata. The output is a new watermarked image.
Can I add a logo or image watermark?
No. This MVP supports text watermarking only. Logo, SVG, image, and tiled watermark modes are reserved for future releases.
